OBITUARY Berniece Ursula Volpe March 3, 1926 – June 30, 2018 Berniece (Bea) Ursula Morsette Volpe born March 3rd, 1926 in Argyle Minnesota, passed away gracefully Saturday, June 30th 2018 surrounded by family and friends. Bea moved from Minnesota with her family as a small child and grew up in North Portland where she attended Franklin High School. She met Joseph Volpe at the USO while serving donuts.

They married in June of 1946. Bea and Joe had 6 children: Joe Jr, Michael, David, Virginia, John and Thomas. Wanting more space and a more rural lifestyle in 1964 Bea and Joe brought the family out to Tigard and built a small farm.

Bea worked for Union Pacific Railroad, was a member of Catholic Daughters and a devout parishioner at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Tigard. After retiring Bea spent time enjoying her 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and found time to travel. She took a cruise through the Panama Canal, toured the Holy Sites in Italy, snorkeled and went yacht racing in Hawaii and visited family and friends in New York and Florida.

Funeral Mass will be held at St Anthony’s Church in Tigard at 11am Monday, July 16th.
