Obituary for Bertha Holliday Burns Bertha Holliday Burns, 91 of the Whitesboro Community went to her heavenly home to be with her husband of 50 years on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 after a brief illness. Her Funeral Service will be 3 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Etowah Memorial Chapel with burial to follow at Kyuka Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 until 3 before the service at the funeral home.

Bro. Jeremy Burns and Bro. Daniel Fulmer will be officiating.

Pallbearers will be her Grandsons. She loved gardening, crocheting and cooking. Any family or friends that visited her never left hungry and left with vegetables or flowers.

She was a loving caregiver to many friends and family in need. Bertha is survived by her Daughters: Sheila Lester (Tommy) of Southside, Genise Kirkland (Larry) of Glencoe, Renea Bradley Rowan (Rodney) of Guntersville, Son: Mearl Burns (Loretta), Grandchildren: Clark Edwards (Angela), Derek Edwards (Shelbra), Keith Richardson (Candice), Amanda Jackson, Todd Washburn (Amanda), Jessica Walden (Jason), Jeff Burns (Jamie), Jeremy Burns (Candy), 15 Great Grandchildren, Sister: Julia Quarles (Denson) of Huntsville. She is preceded in death by her Husband: Rev.

Sam Travis Burns, Parents: Monroe and Ella Holliday, ten Brothers and Sisters, Son-in-law: Dwight Bradley.
