Bertha Martins Bertha Martins, 95, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully Wednesday night February 6, 2019 at Nevin’s Nursing and Rehab Center in Methuen, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Bedford, Massachusetts, February 26, 1923, a daughter of the late Anthony and the late Maria (Tavares) Martins, she received her education in the Lawrence School system. Prior to her retirement, Bertha was a research editor for G. K. Hall Publishers in Boston.

Previously she was with CBS – Hytron in Danvers. Bertha is survived by her sister Linda M. O’Rourke of Pelham, NH; and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her brothers Edmund Martins, Anthony Martins, Jr. and Carl Martins.
