Born the daughter of Ray and Evelyn Pardun, she was the 2nd child who fit in well with her 5 brothers. She grew up in Webster, Wis.

in a home where she was loved and taught the things that were important for living. Being born near the beginning of the Great Depression, she was taught early that it was good to work, to be honest and forthright, to be fair, considerate, to love others and above all else to allow God to make her the kind of person He always planned that we should be. Beth was a graduate of Minneapolis Business College and attended Northwestern Bible College which is now University of Northwestern, St. Paul, MN.

Beth worked as a secretary for Youth for Christ and was inspired by the YFC Rallies held at the Minneapolis Auditorium where thousands attended. She married Alden Emanuel, a huge blessing to her life, and they had 3 children. They were involved at Brookdale Covenant Church, Brooklyn Center, where Beth worked in the church office and taught Sunday School.

They moved to Rochester, MN when Alden was transferred. Not long after, Beth became a realtor for A.J. Magnuson and Associates for 17 years selling homes and properties. She was later employed at Charter House.

Beth was a speaker for Christian Women’s Club sharing her testimony in a variety of cities and helped establish Rochester’s Bible Study Fellowship for women. In her later years she enjoyed Community Bible Study. Alden and Beth loved to entertain guests in their home ~ Often to those visiting the Mayo Clinic, with whom they shared Jesus Christ ~ which was her greatest joy.

Playing hymns and songs on the piano was fulfilling for her as well. Two years ago Beth moved to Woodbury Estates where she grew to love and appreciate the staff and residents. After each meal she would play the piano which was enjoyed by all.

She always said, “the Lord has blessed me with a wonderful life”, and often said, “I have so much to be thankful for”. Her favorite breakfast was hot chocolate made with milk, and Graham crackers. Beth was preceded in death by her husband Alden and 3 brothers.

Beth will be greatly missed by her children, Vern (Claudia) Bergstrom, Colleen (Mike) McLaren, Carol (Joe) Adams, her grandchildren Toni (Ben) Brandenburg, Kata (Tim) Perkins, Luke Adams and Judson McLaren and 6 great-grandchildren, Evangeline, Emmerich, Escher, Alden, John Arlo and Andrew, along with 2 brothers, 2 sisters-in-law and many caring nieces and nephews. Special thanks to the compassionate and caring staff of Woodbury Estates. We are grateful for your care and thankful for each of you.

A memorial service in her honor will be held at Salem Road Covenant Church, 3401 Salem Rd SW, Rochester, MN. Monday, April 15 at 11AM, followed by ~ Hot Chocolate, Graham Crackers and a light lunch.
