She is survived by her three wonderful children, William Fleenor and his wife Kimberly, Patricia Rolland and Rebecca Fleenor-Berman and her husband Glenn. She also leaves behind her two brothers Robert West and his wife Cathy, and James West.

Bette is additionally survived by her grandchildren Ryan Rolland, Russell Rolland and his wife Lauren, Brandon Rolland and his wife Erin, Laura Roil and her husband James, and Trisha Ayllon. She was exceedingly close to and proud of her entire family and was the center of all of our attentions up to the finale of her life. Bette was an extraordinary woman who always kept her family as the primary priority in her life.

Bette’s home was her world and we were all blessed to be an integral important part of that. She showed us how to be caring, compassionate and conscientious people thru the examples she set and the simple loving life that she led. Bette taught us how to nurture the family she created, thru her actions and her kind thoughtful words.

We, in turn, were able to reciprocate her caring and humanity, in the finest way possible, through her teachings, her grace and her gratitude. Her entire family honored her wishes and cared for her, in her own exquisite ways, in her own home, until her finale. She was our anchor that kept us from drifting apart and the glue that kept the family tapestry continually together.

She will forever be missed and loved. We each hold a very personal part of her; close to our hearts, our minds and all of our experiences. We are all better loving people because of Bette’s influence on us and her participation in our lives.

Bette always made those people around her feel special, needed, and wanted, with her warm and wonderful ways. Her smile lit up her home and anywhere she went. The light she instilled in this world will forever be lit through all of us.

We embrace and delight in all of the memories of her rich long life, and particularly want to thank every single one who aided in making Bette’s life superlative, enriching and filled with exceptional love and understanding. The Hospice workers, nurses and attendees are the earthly angels of this world and we could not have done the tender caring without them. Bette accepted them into her family as though they were each important cherished family members, as did we all.

Bette West Fleenor will live on in spirit in everyone’s life she touched. A celebration of her life will be held at the Garden Isle Clubhouse on Sunday October 28th 2018 from 1pm to 6pm located at 1060 Melrose Ave. in Alameda, CA.
