Betty J. Bodo, 93, went home to be with the Lord on January 7, 2019. She was born June 1, 1925 in Norton, Ohio to George and Ruth Stump and graduated from Kenmore High School in 1943, but her heart was with her friends in Norton where she grew up. She was a faithful member of Goss Memorial Church where she and her family attended for over 50 years.

She later moved to Lexington, Ohio after her husband’s death and attended United Methodist Church of the Cross for over 30 years. Betty will always be remembered for her warm and giving spirit. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 30 years William, and leaves behind her children; Beverly (Gary) Piper, Bonnie Bodo, Barbara (Randy) Turpin, Billie (William) Wihebrink, Jr., Bruce Bodo; grandchildren, Matthew (Julie) Piper, Daniel (Milca) Piper, Nathan (Kyrsten) Turpin; brother, Lloyd Stump; sister-in-law, Susann Bodo; great-grandchildren, Mia, Adalai; and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Our family would like to extend a special thank you to Mansfield Place staff for their loving care of our mother. Private graveside services have taken place at Emmanuel United Church of Christ Cemetery.
