Betty J. Caplinger, age 82 , of Pike County, Ohio, passed away Thursday night, December 6, 2018 at Piketon Nursing Center. She was born in Arkoe, Ohio, daughter of the late Jesse James and Eva (Mawk) Gorman. Surviving are her son, Bill Caplinger of Highland County, daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and John Dorfe of Pennsylvania, five grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Walter E. Caplinger, who passed away on November 26, 2018 and six siblings, Tom, Junior, Carl, Dorothy, Lucille, and Ruth. Graveside Services will be held at Dunkard Ridge Cemetery, Butler Rd. Hillsboro, Monday, December 10, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Rev.

Dr. Dan Lamb officiating. Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, Ohio is serving the family.
