Betty Jean Sandlin Chestnut, 82, of LaGrange passed away on Monday, May 21, 2018 at Harmony Hall. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Howard-Carter Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, May 25, 2018 at Westview Cemetery with Pastor Allen Stocks officiating.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Lynwood Chestnut; parents Louis and Emma Sandlin; granddaughter, Melissa Radford; sisters, Ruby Alphin and Kay Lightbody; brother Bobby Ray Sandlin. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Radford, Debra Brown, Brenda Wainwright; sons, Lynwood Chestnut and Roger Chestnut; grandchildren, Lynwood Chestnut, Jr., Jason Chestnut, Peyton Ellis, Tracy Jones, Earl Odham, Louis Wainright, Jr., Michael Fountain, Bobby Radford; great grandchildren, Peyton Wainright, Joshua Fountain, Cayden Radford, Karly Radford, Ava Fountain, Brighton Radford, Michael Jones, Kailyn Chestnut; brothers, Jerry Sandlin, Louis Sandlin, Ray Sandlin.
