OBITUARY Betty Jo Amidei October 16, 1957 – January 27, 2019 It is with great sadness that the family of Betty Jo Amidei announce her passing on Sunday January 27, 2019 at the age of 75 years. She was born in Tupelo, Mississippi on January 28, 1943 to Edna (Newcomb) Putt and Homer Putt. She moved to Ocala, Florida where she grew up.

Betty was a very strong and independent woman. She had much love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She did a great deal for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She taught my daughters to be strong and independent. She loved to ride around in her car, and she liked country music. She loved to read the newspaper.

She liked the colors pink and blue. She loved drinking Coca-Cola. She liked to walk, and She loved Elvis.

She always had helped people to get on their feet. She had tenants that she would do many tasks for and help them in many ways. She was a beautiful woman, and her strength will be with us forever.

Betty is survived by her loving husband James Amidei; and is lovingly remembered by her daughters Victoria Poole (David) of Ocala; Angela Barker (Jon) of Clearwater; and her stepsons Jim Amidei (Jenny), Evan Amidei (Christina) and stepdaughter Nicole Amidei of Ocala. Betty will also be fondly remembered by her twelve grandchildren David A. (Alexandria) Poole ; Crystal Roland ; Joshua Barker; Diandre Mattox, Ziren Turner, Kayson Turner, Eli Amidei, Wyatt Amidei, Noah Amidei, Aubrey Amidei, Addy Amidei, and A. J. Amidei. She will also be fondly remembered by her five great grandchildren Hayden, Caliper, Davalen, Kyndle, and Merrick.

She is survived by her three siblings Johnny Hendrix, Jimmy Hendrix, and Mary McIlvoy. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family and dear friends. She is predeceased by her four siblings Pearl McCall, Clinton Putt, Vera Putt, and Danny Hendrix.

Grave side services will be held at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens 5740 S. Pine Avenue Ocala, Florida at a date to be determined. Those who so desire may make memorial donations in memory of Betty to Estelle’s Hospice House at 2897 SE 62nd St. Ocala, Florida.
