Betty Jo Stinson Hurt Smith age 84 is in the care of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home. Betty passed away at Methodist Medical Center Thursday February 21, 2019. She was born in Falkville, Alabama September 20, 1034 to Kenneth and Allie Tillery Stinson.

She attended Oak Ridge High School where she was a cheerleader. Betty was founder and owner/operator of Apex Office Supply and Design in Oak Ridge, Tennessee for more than 40 years. She also loved to design and decorate properties and homes.

Betty attended New York Avenue Church of Christ and several bible studies every week. Betty loved and enjoyed her husband Thomas and her children and grandchildren, as well as her dog Zae. Betty is survived by her daughter, Sheila Groover (Winky), son, Barry Hurt (Lisa), husband, Thomas and his children.

Also survived by her sister, Mary Ann McClain and brother Alan Stinson. Betty also adored her grandchildren, Teylse Hurt, Jessica Popp, Branson Popp, Chase Hurt, and Alishia Obradovac (Denis), Kainen Hurt and Oaklee Obradovac. Visitation with the family will be from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Saturday February 23 at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with a celebration of Life to follow at 1:00 pm.
