Betty L. Hines, age 83, of Goodland, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at the Goodland Regional Medical Center. Betty was born December 30, 1934 in Norton County, Kansas to Carl and Myrtle (Rowley) Talley. Betty grew up in Goodland and graduated Goodland High School in 1953.

She married Robert F. Hines in Raton, New Mexico on December 21, 1957. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. Betty was a homemaker, enjoyed spending time with her family, embroidery, word puzzles, gardening, cooking and baking.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bob; brother, Bobby Lee Talley; sister, Shirley Bowen. Betty is survived by her daughter, Barbara (LeRoy) Thomas of Goodland; grandsons, Nathan and Nick Thomas (Heather Kamla) and their dog Molly of Goodland; sister, Linda Goalden of McPherson, KS; nieces, Susan Scott, Jo Underhill and Carol Underhill; nephews, Bill Bowen, Mike Goalden and Brad Goalden. Graveside service will be Monday, October 1, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. MT at the Goodland Cemetery, North Main Street in Goodland.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 30, 2018 from 4 to 6 p.m. MT at Bateman Funeral Home, 211 East 11th Street in Goodland.
