OBITUARY Betty Lou Risinger April 2, 1929 – January 19, 2019 Betty Lou Mayeaux Risinger—passed away peacefully at her home in Houston on Saturday, January 19, 2019. She was born April 2, 1929 in New Orleans, Louisiana and considered by friends and family as a true Cajun sweetheart. She had two sons Bobby and Barry Risinger (Barry deceased in 2016).

Married to Charles Leslie Risinger in 1947 in Alexandria, Louisiana. Married for 50 years before Charles’ passing in 1997. Betty’s loves were volunteering at her church, cooking, gardening, horse racing, her one and only true love- Charles and her children.

She attended Catholic School in New Orleans and was eternally devoted to our Lord and Savior. Her rosary was always by her side. She worked in retail for years and loved interacting with others.

Survived by her son, Bobby Risinger and his wife Lois McCallister; and her daughter in law Gratzyna Smoltzy. Her daughter in laws served as her devoted caretaker her last two years. Her grandchildren, Brandy Risinger and Jennifer Risinger; Great grandchildren, Channing Deleon, Hadley Sitka and Holton Sitka.

In her final days, she wrote, “I did my best now let God do the rest”. She will be dearly missed but never forgotten. Her children loved and admired her and she always returned that love and admiration.
