BETTY LOU SMITH Betty Lou Smith, 78, of Quincy, passed away at 3:39 AM Tuesday (February 27, 2019) in The Good Samaritian Home. Born September 6, 1940 in Olean, Missouri, Betty was the daughter of Dewey and Ruby Blackburn Williams. She married Conrad E. Smith on Augusut, 29, 1959 in Centralia, Missouri.

He survives. She was a 1958 graduate of Centralia Missouri High School and was a member of Faith Assembly of God Church and TOPS. She enjoyed cooking and was an accomplished seamstress and did the curtains for JC Penny.

Betty was a wonderful wife and a great mom who was devoted to her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. Betty was employed by Avon for 25 years until her retirement. Survivors include her husband, Conrad “Connie”; a daughter, Karen Diane Miller; two sons, Jeffrey “Jeff” Allan Smith (Eva) and Brian Eugene Smith (Karen); seven grandchildren, Jeffrey Robert Smith (Allison), Lucas Kent Demaster Smith (Rayna), Jake Wayne Smith (Kelly), Wesley Ean Smith, Cody Allan Smith (Kristin), Brooklynn Dawn Banta (Nick) and Mitchell Conrad Castillo (Francisco); four great grandchildren, Alexander Smith, Connor Smith, Kori Smith and Colson Smith; two great grandchildren on the way; also surviving is one brother Roger Earl Williams (Roseanne) of San Antonio, Texas.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be held on Monday morning, March 4 in the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home at 10:00 AM with Pastor Larry Connour officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery at the Illinois Veterans Home.

Visitation will be on Sunday evening from 3:00 to 6:00 at the Zehender Robinson Stormer Cookson Funeral Home and Monday morning from 9:00 AM until the time of the services. Memorials may be made to the Foose Center at the Good Samaritan Home.
