Obituary for Betty M. Overly (Duke) Betty M. Overly, 93, of New Holland, died Sunday, December 9, 2018, at her home after a brief illness. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Clair and Anna (Schaffer) Duke. Her husband, Daniel S. Overly, died June 29, 2002.

Betty retired in 1989 after working 17 years as a receptionist for Skyline Distributers in Lancaster. She was an active member of Leola Bible Baptist Church and she enjoyed reading, traveling, cross stitch, and playing pinochle with her senior friends. Surviving are three sons, David E. Overly of Lititz, Douglas L., married to Julie (Saxby) Overly of Quinlan, TX, and Daniel J., married to Ginnette (Culhane) Overly of New Holland; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15 at 2 pm at the Beck Funeral Home, 315 E. Main St., New Holland. Interment will be in Ranck’s United Methodist Cemetery.
