OBITUARY Betty Powell October 3, 1942 – October 12, 2018 Betty Jo Powell, 76, of Chattanooga died Friday, October 12, 2018 at her home. She was born October 3, 1942 in Stevenson, Alabama to the late Ernest Workman and Velma Wimberly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Powell, and grandson, Jonathan Richie.

She was well loved by her family. Survivors include her children, Carl (Mary) McKinney, Nancy (Dave) Shake, and Carol Tumlin; sisters, Nancy (Rick) Brock, and Donna (Ed) Smith; brother, James (Teresa) Workman. Funeral services will be held 2:30 Saturday October 20, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Chaplain Ted Smith officiating.

Entombment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 Friday, October 19. Please share your thoughts and memories at www.
