Betty’s Obituary Betty Lou Richardson Hefner, age 78 of Burgaw, passed from this earthly life Wednesday February 27, 2019 at home. She was born May 15, 1940 in Madison, FL, daughter of the late Forney Norwood and Louella Beggs Richardson. She was also predeceased by her husband Bob Hefner, brother Stewart Richardson and sister Harriet Winn.

She is survived by a son Chuck Richardson and wife Fran of Burgaw, step children, Kurt Hefner and wife Missy, Robert C. Hefner and wife Phillis; grandchildren, Ella Richardson, Mac Richardson, Tabby Ashour, Ray Hefner, Maggie Hefner and Lily Hefner; brothers, Norwood, Shepard, Herbert, Doug and Don Richardson; sisters, Mildred Guess, Georgia Bell, Charlotte Humphrey, and Virginia Highsmith; and many nieces and nephews. Betty and her husband taught ballroom dancing for over 25 years. She was a wonderful and talented seamstress, making many wedding dresses for her nieces.

She dearly loved her family and grandchildren, and went by Aunt Betty and Grand to many in the community. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm Saturday at Harrell’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday March 2, 2019 at Harrell’s Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow in Pike Creek Cemetery.
