Obituary for Betty Sue Westmoreland Meeks Print Betty Sue Westmoreland Meeks, age 72 of Mt. Airy, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019. Born on March 16, 1946, in Clarkesville, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Marjorie Rogers Westmoreland.

Mrs. Meeks was owner and operator of Fancy Stitches and was a member of Camp Creek Baptist Church. She was also a Rural Carrier Auxiliary member and past state president. In her spare time, she enjoyed entertaining her grandchildren and reading.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son-in-law, Arthur Downs. Survivors include husband, William Lee Meeks of Mt. Airy; daughter, Kim Downs of Cornelia; grandchildren, Rebekah, Rachel, Carrie, Jesse and Leah Culpepper all of Cornelia; numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are 2 pm on Sunday, February 17, 2019 at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Bro. Isaac McDuffie officiating. Interment will follow in Camp Creek Baptist Church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 pm on Saturday at the funeral home. The family requests that donations be made to Fellowship Tract League, P.O. Box 164, Lebanon, Ohio 45036, or flowers are optional. An online guest register is available and may be viewed at www.
