Betty’s Obituary Betty Ruth Wing, age 68, Jay, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. Betty was born November 4, 1950 in Port Arthur, Texas, daughter of the late James Edward Horne and Ruth Knot Horne. She lived several places as a child following her father’s military career, and received her degree from Northeastern Oklahoma College in Miami, Oklahoma to be a Lab Tech.

She worked for several hospitals in Oklahoma, and retired from St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 2015. Survivors include her children, Amanda Morgan Brawner, Douglas McMillian, and Michael Wing; grandchildren, Kendale Morgan, Kyleen Brawner, and Nathan McMillian. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Four State Cremation.
