Obituary for Betty Yaffe Blake BETTY YAFFE BLAKE DIED PEACEFULLY ON Friday, Sept. 14th JUST 6 DAYS BEFORE HER 102ND BIRTHDAY. SHE LIVED A LONG, HAPPY AND COMPLETE LIFE.

HER KINDNESS THROUGHOUT THE YEARS LEFT A LASTING IMPRESSION ON ALL WHO KNEW HER. BETTY AND HER LOVING HUSBAND, MORRIS, (now deceased) MOVED TO MIAMI FROM DETROIT IN 1949 WITH 3 OF THEIR EVENTUAL 4 SONS. BETTY AND MORRIS BOUGHT THE SHANDICLERE BAR (LATER KNOWN AS TOBACCO ROAD) AND RAISED THEIR 4 CHILDREN IN CORAL GABLES.

SHE WAS A “STAY AT HOME” MOM WHO WAS ALWAYS THERE FOR ALL THE EVENTS IN AND OUT OF SCHOOL FOR HER “BOYS”. BETTY, KNOWN AS “BETTY THE BAKER”, ALWAYS HAD COOKIES AND “FUDGE BARS” FOR HER CHILDREN, THEIR FRIENDS AND IN HER LATER YEARS, FOR FRIENDS AT ST. ANDREWS ESTATES IN BOCA RATON.

BETTY WAS A SUPPORTIVE MOM WHO ALWAYS SAID, “AS LONG AS IT MAKES YOU HAPPY, DEAR! ” SHE IS SURVIVED BY 3 OF HER 4 SONS, ALVIN (JANE), STANFORD (LISA), GERALD (LINDA) AND DAUGHTER-IN-LAW, JANET (ROBERT DECEASED). BETTY ALSO LEAVES BEHIND THE LOVE OF 11 GRANDCHILDREN, 17 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN AND 1 GREAT-GREAT GRANDCHILD.

THE FAMILY THANKS HER AIDE FOR THE PAST 2 YEARS, KARINE JUILLARD CULP, FOR HER LOVE AND DEDICATION. They also want to thank the entire staff at St. Andrews Estates North and the wonderful people at Trustbridge Hospice. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT LAKESIDE MEMORIAL PARK, 10301 N.W. 25TH STREET, MIAMI ON TUESDAY, Sept.

18th AT 11 A.M. Because of the upcoming Yom Kippur holiday, there will be a private shiva for the family only!
