Betty Jean Robinson Alexander was born March 30, 1932 in San Antonio, Texas to Anne and Ira Robinson. She passed away October 27, 2018, in Kyle, Texas. Betty was a graduate of Holy Redeemer High School and went on to earn her Bachelors degree in Austin, Texas at Huston Tillotson University.

She also earned her certificate in Special Education in San Antonio, Texas at The University of the Incarnate Word. Betty went on to be a special education and res teacher for 38 years. She was aslo an avid musician and learned to play the piano by ear.

She enjoyed traveling, writing poetry, and especially love her family. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Paul H. Alexander; son, George Arthur Penn; sisters, Connie Jenkins and Ira Ann Durden.

She is survived by her children, Edward Earl Penn Jr., Richard D. Penn Sr., Jacqueline Ann Penn, Pamela Penn-Gardener, Karen Alexander Harper, Paula Lynette Alexander; grandchildren, Gerald Penn, Richard D. Penn, Erica Penn, Terrance Penn, Sonia Penn, Lora Penn, Karen Jean Penn and Evyna Payne; 11 great-grandchildren and a host of other nephews, nieces, cousins, family, and friends.
