Betty Lou Gilb, 92, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018. She was born April 9, 1926 in Clay County, Indiana, daughter of the late William Clyde and Mazo (Strobel) DeCamp. Betty was a member of the Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church, Rivertown Players and Retired Teachers.

She liked to read, travel, crochet, knit, and do cross stitch. . She worked as a Teacher / Librarian at Lawrenceburg Communnity Schools.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jerome “Tony” Gilb; 2 sons, Tom (wife Donna) Gilb of Moores Hill, IN, Robb Gilb of Greendale, IN; daughter, Margaret (husband Ron) Phipps of Butler, KY; 4 grandchildren, Jonathan Phipps, Jacob Phipps, Robert Gilb, Michael Gilb. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Clyde and Mazo DeCamp; and a son, Fritz Gilb. Family and friends will be received on Friday, July 13, 2018 from 11 am to 1 pm at Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church, Friday, July 13, 2018 at 1 pm, with Pastor Bill Helms officiating. Interment will follow in the Riverview Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana. Contributions may be made to the Lawrenceburg Fire Department or Hamline Chapel United Methodist Church.
