Beulah Mae Brogaard, 80, a longtime resident of the Forest Grove community, died Friday evening, February 1, 2019 at the Tuality Community Hospital in Hillsboro. BEULAH MAE BROGAARD was born October 12, 1938 in Calico Rock, Arkansas, the daughter of the late James Jason Musgrove and Ruthie Ann (Layton) Musgrove. As a young girl she moved with her family to Oregon, settling in the Forest Grove community.

She was raised and received her education in the Forest Grove community, having been a graduate of the Forest Grove High School Class of 1956. She was united in marriage to Magnus Nels Brogaard on July 6, 1956 in the First Baptist Church in Forest Grove. Following their marriage they made their home at the Tongue Point Naval Base in Astoria, Oregon, where he was stationed.

In 1959, they moved to Canby, Minnesota, where they farmed for a brief period. In November of 1959, they moved to the Forest Grove community, where she had resided since. Beulah was preceded in death by her husband, Magnus, on November 29, 2009 in Forest Grove, after celebrating over fifty-three years of marriage together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Ruthie Musgrove; by her brother, Kenneth James Musgrove; her sister, Virginia Kay Musgrove and her two sons, Gary Brogaard and Larry Brogaard. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sandy and Tim Stout, of Hillsboro, Oregon and her sister, Angie Vanderzanden, of Hillsboro, Oregon. Also surviving are her two grandchildren, Rachel Gebhardt and Amanda Gebhardt, both of Hillsboro, Oregon; her two great-grandchildren, James Alexander McNeil and Amelia Jacqueline Gebhardt Muis, both of Hillsboro, Oregon and her nieces and nephews, Debbie Vanderzanden-Rowley, of Hillsboro, Oregon; Kristin Meyer, of Hillsboro, Oregon; Rob and Kate Vanderzanden, of Tigard, Oregon and Jana Stuart, of Columbia City, Oregon.
