Beverly Roberts Delmedico, 84, died April 28, 2019. Beverly was born February 1, 1935 to Dean and Marguerite (Cunningham) Roberts. Beverly graduated Muskogee Central High School in 1953.
Beverly married the love of her life, Vincent Delmedico, on December 22, 1953. Beverly was a certified municipal accountant with a degree in accounting. She has managed her farming operation and Katy Flour and Feed in downtown Muskogee.
Beverly started at Muskogee Farm Bureau level in 1960 and was elected to OFB Women’s committee in 1983. She was secretary 3 years, vice chair 10 years and state chair 4 years. She is one of few women to have served Farm Bureau at the county, district, state and national level.
Beverly was elected as AFBFW Southern Region representative in 2000 serving six years. Beverly has contributed to the AITC projects and served as Chair of the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture AITC Advisory Council. She has been a Fair Barn tour guide, safety volunteer, September Fest volunteer and speech contest judge.
She has been a Girl Scout leader, 4H adviser, treasurer of school board, an inspector election board worker and served as Secretary/Treasurer for Oklahoma Rural Water District #5. Oklahoma Farm Bureau recognized Beverly with the Distinguished Service Award. She was also Honoree at the Muskogee Jr. Livestock Show, received 4H and FFA award, County Extension Agents and Vo Ag Instructors award and worked diligently on agriculture committees.
Beverly is preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Delmedico; her mother and father, Marguerite and Dean Roberts; her daughter, Ranie Jacobs; her sisters, Margaret Beck and Gloria Turner. Beverly is survived by her daughters, Vincie McCarty (Steve), Bettina Grandstaff (Mark), Deanna Bartholet (Jimbo); grandsons, Chris Jacobs, Cory McCarty (Stacey), Colton Bartholet (Cortni); granddaughters, Michelle Webster, Ember Carter, Harli Bartholet, Hannah, Audra and Kristin Grandstaff; four great-granddaughters; and many other family members and friends. A celebration of Beverly’s life will be 10AM, Friday, May 3, 2019 at Southeast Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Murray, Wane Herriman and Mike Spradling officiating.
