She married Robert Iwen on Sept. 29, 1949 at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Fargo. They farmed at Arthur and Hunter.

Through the years, Bev was active at St. Agnes Church in Hunter. She would go to church most mornings and say the rosary and light a candle for those she prayed for. She enjoyed homemakers and the birthday club.

She volunteered at the Good Samaritan Center in Arthur for many years. She loved baking for the people at the home. For years, she had the “Bev Group” every Wednesday and would bring baked goods and they would talk about the “good old days”.

Bob and the boys were Bev’s life. She dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed having them to the farm for special occasions. She was close to her five sisters and brothers and would often have get togethers.

Bev loved having coffee parties and was known for her caramel rolls. She often went to Hunter for morning coffee while Bob went to Arthur to shake for coffee. After Bob died in 1995, she stayed at the farm until she went to the assisted living at the Good Samaritan Center.

She loved it there. She went to senior citizens in Arthur and Hunter. Dan would often take her shopping.

Bev loved to shop as everyone knew and when she got tired she called Dan and he would pick her up. Bev is survived by four sons, Robert (Tana), Tom (Sue), Tim (Alayne) and Dan; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother, William (Melody); sisters, Donna Jones and Georgene (Allen) Melander; sisters in-law, Betty Parkhouse and Kim Parkhouse.
