SLOAN, Beverly Sue Padgett- age 79 passed away Saturday October 27, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Charles Padgett & Margaret Johnson Padgett. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Melvin David Sloan; children, David (Rhonda Lynn) Padgett Sloan and Susan Diane Sloan; grandchildren, David Padgett Sloan II, Elizabeth Gail Sloan, Cody (Maegen Marie) Wayne Lannom; beloved step grandchildren and great grandchildren, Brandon, Torri, Brooke and Sadie Selvage.

; David, Christie(Selvage), Anna (Mason) and Michael Foust. ; sisters, Margaret Partee and Roberta (Larry) Robinson; sister-in-laws, Robbie (Raymond) Lea and Nelda (James E.) Garrett; too many friends, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews to count, and she loved them all. A special thank you to her caregivers, Daisha Douglas, Yolanda Chumney, Kesha Coleman, Doreen Stewart, and Phyllis Dickson.

They cared for her with love and kindness and became a part of our family. Another special thank you to her Alive Hospice team, Sandra, Chelsey, Andy, Alicia, Amy and Kristy. Mrs. Sloan was born June 29, 1939, in Huntsville, AL, and moved to Lebanon with her family in the early 1940’s.

Beverly was a 1957 graduate of Lebanon High School. She attended Bartons Creek Baptist Church. Visitation will be held on Tuesday October 30th 3-7 p.m. & Wednesday October 31st 1:00 p.m. until funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the Partlow Funeral Chapel.

Bro. Terry Cathey will officiate the services. Interment, Wilson Co. Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers, Cody Lannom, David Sloan II, Brandon Selvage, Bobby Watson, Phillip Watson, Ralph Sloan Jr., Jerry Miller, & Eddie Oliver. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association Mid South Chapter Middle Tennessee Region or Alive Hospice Middle Tennessee.
