Bill’s Obituary Billy Gene Rouse was born July 28th 1930 in Douglass, OK to Lee and Leona Rouse. He departed this world on February 6th 2019 in Guthrie, OK. He grew up on a farm near Roxanna, OK where he attended grade school.

He graduated from Marshall High School where he played football and was active in FFA. He worked on drilling rigs and was employed by Sinclair. He met Mary Lou Davis at a dance hall in Oklahoma City, OK and they married on September 16th 1951.

They had two children, a daughter, LaDonna and a son, Larry. He retired from Atlantic Richfield in 1985. Following retirement, he was self- employed as an electrician, handyman, and professional peddler serving the residents of Marshall and surrounding areas.

The couple enjoyed traveling and were members of the Good Sam’s Club of Guthrie, OK. The couple were active members of the Christian Church where Bill served as a deacon. The couple sponsored children through World Vision for many years.

He was also a member of the Freemasonary of Marshall, OK and served as a volunteer firefighter. Later in life, Bill was active in delivering meals through Meals on Wheels. Following the death of his wife, Mary, he remarried on October 12th 2013 to Delilah Townsend.

Bill is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Mary Lou Rouse, his son Larry Gene Rouse, and his parents Lee and Leona Rouse. He survived by his brother, Jim “Bo” Rouse and wife Sharon, his daughter, LaDonna Terrell and husband Richard Terrell, stepson, James Belden, grandson Charles Terrell and wife Dana, granddaughter, Andrea Haken-Hughes and husband William Hughes, three great grandsons, Scott, Blake, and Andrew Terrell. In addition to several nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 9, 2019 at the First Christian Church with Pastor Keith Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the North Marshall Lions Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Abernathy Aaron Funeral Home in Crescent.
