Bill’s Obituary Bill Thieman William “Bill” Charles Thieman, 47, of Wilmington, died Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 1, 1971 in Martinsville, VA, son of Edwin Charles Thieman, Jr. and Janet Larkin Thieman. Bill proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force.

He was always family oriented and a very loving father to his children. Bill attended East Carolina University, UNC Wilmington, and he was an avid Washington Redskins fan. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two sons, Bryton Thieman of Wilmington and Hunter Thieman of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Patricia Hallman and Cathy Summerlin (James), all of Wilmington; five nieces, Rebecca Hallman, Stephanie Hallman, Elizabeth Hallman, Kaitlyn Hallman, and Samantha Summerlin; and one nephew, Chris Hallman.

A memorial service will be held at 10am Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Andrews Valley Chapel, 4108 South College Road, with Rev. Steve Spangler officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bill’s memory may be made online or by mail to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
