Billie’s Obituary Billie J. Standlee Billie J. Standlee, 1928 – 2019, crossed over the bridge to Heaven on Thursday, March 7, 2019. She was born in West Virginia and married her first husband, Salvitore Trometta in New York at the age of 18. A longtime resident of Wichita, Billie began work in Wichita at a local credit agency and managed the upkeep and finances of her home in later years.

Her last job was with a product promotion company in Wichita, where she would survey customers and do product demonstrations. Billie loved to fish and camp with her second husband, Wilburn Standlee and liked travelling on cruises and overseas with her third husband, Carl Gragg. She will be remembered by her son, Jerry Trombetta as a hard working single mother, raising Jerry in Detroit after separating from her first husband.

Billie found the joy in everything, and would make the most of any occasion or event. Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 14, 2019 at the Cochran Mortuary, 1411 N. Broadway. (Parking from Market St).

Burial will follow in the Wichita Park Cemetery. Survivors include her son, Jerry Trombetta of Leesburg, Virginia and many friends who she loved. Memorial donations may be sent to Home Health & Hospice of Kansas, 7607 E. Harry, Wichita, KS 67207.

She had a heart of gold and love of life, and we are all better for having known her.
