William Franklin “Billy” Black age 75 of Gaylesville passed away Sunday May 5th at Gadsden Regional Hospital. Graveside services will be 3 PM Tuesday May 7th at Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2:30 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers include Danny Black, Brock Black, Larry Graham, Steve Harrell, Faron Turner and Todd Waites. Honorary Pallbearers will be Donnie Garrett and Rickey Steele. Survivors include wife, Barbara Ann Henderson Black; brothers, Larry (Sue) Black, Ricky Joe (Evelyn) Black and Jimmy Mitchell (Kym) Black; sister, Evie Lou (Donnie) Mackey; 2 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Ann Turner and a brother, Jackie Lamar Black. Mr. Black was a native of Cherokee County and the son of the late Oll and Amy Lou Hawkins Black. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Billy Black please visit our Sympathy Store.
