Obituary for Billy Brown Billy David Brown, age 70 of McMinnville, Tennessee passed from this life on Saturday, September 1, 2018, at Saint Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, Tennessee. Bill was born Thursday, January 22, 1948 in McMinnville, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Myrtle Grieves and I.L. Savage He served in the US Army and was a nurseryman and worked at AO Smith. Bill was an avid hunter and enjoyed the thrill of the hunt.
Bill’s giving nature will live on as he was an organ donor. Bill is survived by his: 2 daughters – Amy Norville Jessica Brown 3 grandchildren – Alex and Sydney Cassidy and Phoenix Simpson brother – Tommy Savage and wife Carla 3 nephews – Brandon Savage and wife Jenny Daniel Savage and wife Makayla Jay Allyn Link 2 nieces – Kendra Rutledge and husband Ethan Vanessa McCormick former wife – Darlene Slaughter special friends – Earl and Brenda Anderson and Carl Young many other family members and friends also survive. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his daughter Whitney Brown, and step-father Wilbur McGee A Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home located at 415 North Chancery St. McMinnville, Tennessee 37110 with the Ronnie Powell officiating.
Bill’s wish was to be cremated and there will be no grave side service. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, September 3, 2018, and again Tuesday from 10 AM to 2 PM at Gardens of Memory Funeral Home, 415 North Chancery St., McMinnville, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to in honor of Whitney to the Amniotic Fluid Embolism Foundation at https:www.
