Billy Joe Dean, 71, of Florence, passed away May 1, 2019 at his residence. He was a member of Cross Point Church of Christ; a U.S. Navy veteran; and owner/operator of Cloverdale Farms and Dean’s Market. Visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Clifford Miles and Gerald Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Greenview Memorial Park with military honors. Mr. Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Pearl Dean; and spouse, Nana Elaine Dean.

He is survived by his wife, Connie Mitchell Dean; sons, Kendall Dean (Bridgett), Caleb Albright, and Corey Albright (Katie); daughters, Charity Torian (Sebuh), and Courtney Simmons (Dustin); brother, Steve Dean (Ollie); sister, Kathy Curls (Buddy); and grandchildren, Blake, Robert, and Parker Dean, Alexis and Grace Torian, Emma and Raylan Simmons, Gracyn Nicole Kelley Albright, and numerous nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers will include: David Warren, Jeff Stewart, Bill Nabors, Clifford Miles, Caleb Albright, Blake Dean, Corey Albright, Dustin Simmons, Sebuh Torian, and Eugene Pierce. Charles Yerby, Doug Miller, Donnie Nix, Chubby Checker, and Ronnie Pitts will serve as honorary pallbearers.
