Billy Joe Samples age 85 of Jasper passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019. He retired from Paul Walker Construction and attended Midway Baptist Church in South Pittsburg. Billy Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Samples; father, John Samples; mother, Bertha Phipps; sons, Wayne Samples and Kenny Samples; daughter-in-law, Wanda Samples; grandson, Anthony Samples; brother, Charles Samples.

Those to cherish his memories are his children, Norma (Tim) Shipley of Jasper and Roger (Sherry) Samples of Richard City; sisters, Lucille Muir and Betty Muir; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and a host of friends. Family will receive 11AM-8PM, Thursday, May 30, 2019. Funeral Service 1PM, Friday, May 31, 2019 in the funeral home chapel with Rev.

Bill Smith officiating. Interment to follow at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper. Arrangements by Whitwell Memorial Funeral Home (423) 658-7777.
