Bishop Marvin Jenkins September 26, 1948 – February 11, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Bishop Marvin Jenkins, 70, of Crossett, AR died Monday, February 11, 2019, at Ashley County Medical Center in Crossett. He was a lifelong resident of Hamburg, and a retiree from the “Labor Gang” in the Maintenance Department at Georgia Pacific Paper Mill. He started his walk with the Lord at Christ Temple Pentecostal Church in 1979 and later pastoring Bethel Temple Pentecostal Church in Marion, LA for the past 30 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mack and May Bell King-Jenkins; four brothers, Paul, Letell, Berman, and Jesse Jenkins; and three sisters, May Ella Barnett, Virdell Jenkins, and Carivine “Bean” Paskel. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Jessie Mae Jenkins; three sons, Jason (Amy), of Hamburg, AR, David Jenkins, of Conway, AR, and Darell Jenkins(Elvita), of Shreveport, LA; four daughters, Jennifer Jenkins, of Dallas, TX, Jessica Jenkins, of Crossett, AR, Andrea Gamble(Kevin), of Russellville, AR, and Marva Wright(Curtis), of Shreveport, LA; five brothers, Samuel Jenkins(Jessie Mae), Mack Jenkins(Linda), Searcy Jenkins(Vonda), all of Hamburg, AR, Dorchester Jenkins(Priscillia), of Gary, IN, and Willie Jenkins, of Madison, IN; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends. Service will be Saturday, February 16, 2019, 1:00 P.M., at Christ Temple Pentecostal Church in Hamburg, AR, with Bishop Terry Winn and Bishop Alphonso Madden officiating.

Active Pallbearers are Harvey Jenkins, Jamone Jackson, Calvin Barnett, Troy Paskel, Shurun Jenkins, and Fredrick Robinson. Honorary Pallbearers are his sons. Burial in Carlock Cemetery in Hamburg.

Visitation will be Friday, February 15, 2019, 6-7:00 P.M., at Cromwell Funeral Home, Inc. in Hamburg, AR.
