Mrs. Chambers was born on February 5, 1935 in Charleston, KY to the late Robert Lee Moore, Sr., and Nettie Riordan Moore. She was a member of the Dunn Missionary Baptist Church, and she worked for fifteen years with Mid-Continent Spring Factory in Hopkinsville, KY.

Lastly, she worked for 10 years at the Pantry in Dawson Springs, KY.
