Blaine Oliver Owens May 29, 1934 – December 08, 2018 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Upload Photo| View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Blaine Oliver Owens, 84, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018. He was born May 29, 1934 in Glassport and was the son of the late Stewart Joseph and Olive (Cummins) Owens. Blaine was a member of the Liberty Presbyterian Church and was retired from the former G.C. Murphy Co. Warehouse in Christy Park.

He was a US Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife, Arlene (Vallance) Owens, daughter, Denise Ann Owens of Liberty Borough, son, Daniel Blaine (Jean) Owens of Woolwich Township, NJ, grandchildren, Brooke and Gavin Owens, sister, Sheila (Stephen) Mendel of South Park, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, James Stewart Owens, sisters, Edna Long and Betty Lou Martin, and brother, Stewart E. Owens.

Friends are welcome Monday, December 10, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8:00 pm and Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, at the Gilbert Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. 6028 Smithfield Street, Boston, Elizabeth Township. (412) 751-5000 Drew J. Gilbert, Director. Service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Debbie Smith, officiating.

Interment with Military Honors will follow at Mount Vernon Cemetery, Elizabeth Township. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Presbyterian Church, 900 Elizabeth Street, McKeesport, PA 15133.
