BLANCH BROWN, 91, of Springfield passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 surrounded by family at her daughter’s residence. She was born October 26, 1927 in Logan County, Illinois, the daughter of the late Harley and Louise (Smith) Rucker. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Terry H. Brown; one daughter, Lisa (Gary) James; one son, Mitch (Jennifer) Brown; daughter-in-law, Sandy Brown; grandchildren, Ryan (Melissa) James, Chelsae James, Jordan Brown, Jillian Brown, Drake Brown and Kelton… Read More » Brown; great-granddaughter, Scarlett James; sisters, Juanita Hill, Maxine Hite and Loretta (Don) Smith and brother, Vernon (Judy) Rucker.

She was preceded in death by son, Mark Brown; brother, George Rucker and brothers-in-law, Don Hite and Jack Hill. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, January 7, 2019 from 12-1 pm in the LITTLETON & RUE FUNERAL HOME. Funeral services will begin at 1 pm in the funeral home with Chaplain Chad Vickers officiating.
