Milford – On January 26, 2019, Blanche “Dolly” Lilly peacefully passed away after 96 years of life, at her daughter’s residence in Milford, DE. Mrs. Lilly was born on October 10, 1922 in Philadelphia, PA to the late Charles and Blanche Smith. Dolly worked in the electronics assembly line at Philco for many years.

After retirement Dolly stayed active joining the “Lively Steppers” dance group, who performed at senior centers and retirement homes around Philadelphia. She was also a member of “Young in Spirt” senior club at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. Dolly was preceded in death by her husband Charles Lilly.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Messmer, her grandson, Christian Messmer, both from Milford, DE; and her brother Edward Smith, of Florida. A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, 1337 East Hunting Park Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19124, at 11AM on Friday 2/1, with an hour of gathering prior. Interment is Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations in her name may be made to Holy Innocents Catholic Church.
