OBITUARY Bob Brooks June 21, 1947 – September 22, 2018 Robert James Brooks was born on June 21, 1947 to the late Jesse and Lillie Brooks in Meadowbrook hospital in East Meadow Long Island. Bobby worked with his parents, eight sisters and brothers on several farms on Long Island. He was always a hard worker.

In 1957 the family bought their first home in North Babylon with his ten siblings and two more were added to the family. Bobby graduated from North Babylon Senior High School in 1965. He then enlisted in the Army after 1967 where he served in Vietnam.

After returning home he worked in Jamaica Army Armory. From there he was transferred to Bayshore Armory where he retired in 2004. Bobby married Theresa Anzelone in 1981.

He was the first Afro-American 1st Assistant Chief of the Wyndanch Volunteer Fire Department. Bobby was involved with many other organizations such as the Wheatley Heights Ambulance Corp and the Bay Constable. He is predeceased by his wife Theresa, his sisters Mary Alice, Betty Ann, Joanne, Sandra and brothers Mark and Lawernce.

He is survived by his brothers Jesse, Harold, Curtis, brother in law James and sisters Henrietta and Margaret. He is also survived by his children Diane, Joanne, Robbie Wayne, John, grandchildren Cody, JR, Joseph, Tracey, Kailtyn, Miranda, Peggy, Travis Charles, Amy, Leanna great grandchildren Ashlynn, CJ, Paisleigh, James and many nieces and nephews.
