Robert “Bob” A. Ferguson, 81, of Wintersville, Ohio passed away in his home on Monday, December 24, 2018. Bob was born June 16, 1937 in Steubenville, Ohio, a son of the late Lafayette and Florence (Smith) Ferguson. He served in the Marines and was stationed at Okinawa Island, Japan.

Upon returning to the United States, Bob began working as a welder at Weirton Steel and married Babs (Weber) Ferguson on September 19, 1959. After retiring from the mill, Bob began a new career as a school bus driver for Indian Creek School District. Bob was a member of the Wintersville United Methodist Church.

Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Babs (Weber) Ferguson who died April 1, 2013, by five brothers, Kenneth, Leroy, Emory, Lafayette and Theodore Ferguson and a sister, Eileen Grimm. Bob is survived by his son, Tim Ferguson of Minneapolis, MN; daughter, Cindy (Larry) Persina of Wintersville, OH; brother, Ronald “Sonny” (Donna) Ferguson of Steubenville; grandchildren, Kayla (Anthony) Pompa and Kelsey Pool; and step grandchildren, Dan and Kimberlyn Persina. Friends will be received on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 685 Canton Rd.

, Wintersville where funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Clint Quillen officiating. Burial will follow at Ft. Steuben Burial Estates.
