Bobby “Bob” Gene Sweet, 91, passed away on October 3, 2018 surrounded by his family in Pasadena, Texas. Bob was born on April 19, 1927 in Blackwell, Oklahoma to parents Rev. Fred and Edna Sweet.

He proudly served in his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. Bob married the love of his life on July 12, 1952 and he and Vivian enjoyed 66 years together. He will be remembered for his loving heart and fun personality.

He is lovingly survived by his wife, Vivian Sweet; daughter, Angelia Sweet Thompson; grandson, Kasey Thompson; great-grandchildren, Hannah Lynn Thompson, Brice Thompson, Emmie Lynn Thompson; as well as by numerous extended family members and friends. Friends are welcome to join the family for visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, October 5, 2018 at Carter-Conley Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Cryer Cemetery in Oakdale, Louisiana.
