Bobby Gene Denton, Sr. Gibson, GA. – Mr. Bobby Gene Denton, Sr., 55, entered rest April 23, 2018. Mr. Denton was born in Sandersville, Georgia, but he lived around Mitchell, GA all his life.

He was the son of the late Floyd Allen Denton and Mary Oxford Denton of Dearing, GA. Mr. Denton was employed by Sandersville Well Drilling. He was a member of Fort Creek Baptist Church and he loved fishing, football, and farming.

Survivors include his beloved wife of 36 years, Linda Smith Denton; children, Sherri Lynn Angel, Crystal Michelle Denton, Bobby Gene Denton, Jr., Nikki Lea Denton, and Heather Faye Denton; sisters; Shirley Smith and Ginny Langham; and 9 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 11 o’clock a.m., Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Fort Creek Baptist Church with Pastors Tim Williams and Jim Martin officiating. Beggs Funeral Home, 799 Cobbham Rd.
