Bobby’s Obituary Bobby Gene Long, 80, husband of Shelby Jean Berchtold Long, died on Friday, May 3, 2019 in Harrodsburg. Born May 21, 1938 in Garrard County, he was the son of the late Ott and Eula Prewitt Long. He was a well known guitarist and musician, working with many bands in central Kentucky.

He was retired Shakertown employee, a knife collector, enjoyed restoring cars and was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Harrodsburg. Survivors in addition to his wife are, two sons: Bobby Allen(Terrie) Long , Ricky Ray (Sandy) Long, both of Harrodsburg and one daughter Jeanette (Bill) Riddle of Salvisa; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Cecil, Leo and Neal Long and five sisters: Edna Sutton, Ruth Serber, Frances Hayden, Reba Hall, and Dora Wells and one sister-in-law, Wanda Long.

Funeral services will be conducted, 1:00 P.M., Monday, May 6, 2019 at Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Lynn Releford officiating. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery with Steve Hayden, Kenny Hayden, Tommy Hayden, David Long, CJ Long, and Denny Long serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jakie Long, Joe Webb, Don Combs, and Randy Mayes.
