Bobby Gene Steele entered into God’s promised rest on October 10, 2018. A native of Callaway County, he was born in Murray, Kentucky on October 23, 1932 to Almous and Myrtle Steele. Bob attended New Concord High School where he was an outstanding basketball player, starting as a freshman.

After graduating from high school he enlisted in the Air Force in 1952 and enjoyed playing intramural basketball during his Air Force career. “Dad” loved to garden and had the most beautiful lawn, complete with a flag stick and cup. Bobby was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather where his generosity knew no measure. He was a long time member of Eastside Church of Christ.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Earl Steele; two sisters, Moela Williams, Odelle King; grandson, Adam Steele. Bobby is survived by his wife, Mary, of 65 years; two children, Ricky and wife Debbie, of Antlers Ok, Kelly Benton of Midwest City; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Bobby’s life will be 11AM on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Eastside Church of Christ, Midwest City, OK.
