July 25, 1945 – July 5, 2018 Bobby Joe Laughlin, a 70 year resident of Blackwell, Oklahoma, loss his yearlong battle with cancer in his home at 10:03 pm on July 5, 2018. He left this world resting peacefully in the loving embrace of his daughters. Bobby Joe was born on July 25, 1945 in McDonald County, Missouri to Mamie Olive Pendergraft and later adopted by Ernest Powell Laughlin.

Bobby Joe married three times. Taking his first wife, Teresa Diane Lafferty in 1965. They had 3 daughters, Teresa Joann, Becky Sue, and Mandi Faye.

They later divorced in 1996. He then married his second wife Mary Ellen Laughlin who preceded him in death in 1998. In 1999 he married Karen Sue Eddings and became a second father to Ashley Tinsman.

Karen preceded him in death in 2016. Bobby Joe retired in December, 2014 after working approximately 40 years as a mechanic for Shebester-Bechtel in Blackwell, Oklahoma. He is survived by daughters Teresa Joann Seelen of Nishitokyo-shi, Tokyo, Japan, Becky Sue Honeycutt of Blackwell, Mandi Faye Cottle of Blackwell, and Ashley Renee Tinsman of Denton, Texas; five half-sisters, Cidney Garcia, Frankie Moore, Nancy Johns, Peggy Parsons, and Edna Summers; One half-brother Ralph Laughlin; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three half-brothers Kenneth Laughlin, Michael Laughlin, and Ted Laughlin; One half-sister Tanda Kramm. There will be no funeral service at this time. The family will be holding a Celebration of Life ceremony in early November.
