Services for Bobby Ray Dickerson, 82, will be held at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home on Monday, May 6, 2019, at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Steven Willingham officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Harrod Brothers Funeral Home Monday from 11:30 a.m. until the service at 1:30 p.m. Mr. Dickerson passed away at home Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Mr. Dickerson was born in Frankfort, Kentucky on April 13, 1937, to the late Walter Jefferson Dickerson, Sr. and Lillian Ell Webb Hulker. He was united in marriage to his beloved wife of 55 years, Shirley Marie Jamison Dickerson who preceded him in death.

After 27 years of service, he retired from Libraries and Archives, Kentucky State Government. In his retirement, he found joy pastoring in the Wesleyan District. He was a member of Frankfort Wesleyan Church.

Mr. Dickerson is survived by three children, Denny Dickerson (Judy), Bobbie Jean Browning (Ed) and Michael Dickerson (Angela); and sister-in-law, Cathy Dickerson. He was blessed with seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Walter and Norman Dickerson.

Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons. Arrangements are under the direction of Harrod Brothers Funeral Home.
