OBITUARY Bonnie Bell Guidry July 29, 1946 – July 28, 2018 Bonnie Guidry was born to Stella Marie Guidry and Cyrus Guidry Sr. on July 29, 1946, becoming the sixth of eight children. She grew up in Sweet Lake with her sisters, Opal Babineaux husband George, Alice Jackson husband William Verdice, Stella Guidry; brothers, Cyrus Guidry Jr. wife Barbara, Connie Mac Guidry wife Linda, Paul “Jimmy” James Guidry, Bobby Gene Guidry wife Anne Louise. Bonnie graduated from Grand Lake High School in 1964 where she was a member of the basketball team.

She worked at Sam Houston High School for 19 years where she dearly loved all of her kids at the school. Her passion was working in her rose beds, tending to her fruit trees, and cooking. Bonnie never had kids of her own, her many nieces and nephews were the love of her life as well as her dogs.

She passed away on Saturday afternoon after battling cancer for a second time . Preceding her in death are her parents (Stella Marie & Cyrus Sr.), her brothers (Cyrus & Jimmy), her sister Opal, and her sister in law, Anne Louise. Her final wishes were to let everyone know “It’s always Friday in Heaven!

” Visitation will be held on Monday July 30, 2018 at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff from 5pm-9pm and will resume on Tuesday at 8am. Funeral Services will be 10am on Tuesday, July 31 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff.
