Bonnie C. Nelsen, age 68 of Wahoo, died Friday, December 28, 2018 in Lincoln. She was born in California on April 1, 1950 to Rozell and Lois (Secrest) Nelsen. Bonnie spent her early childhood in California, but moved with her family to Hot Springs, South Dakota when she was eight.

After graduating from Hot Springs High School, Bonnie earned a degree in Theology from Open Bible College in Des Moines, Iowa. Throughout her life, Bonnie shared her faith in a variety of volunteer ministries. She lived for many years in Colorado Springs where she worked for Club Foods, and for UPS.

She moved to Wahoo three years ago. Bonnie had artistic talent and loved to use her hands knitting, cross stitching, and working with plastic canvas. She also enjoyed woodworking and crafting items with a scroll saw.

She is survived by her brother Larry Nelsen of Owasso, Oklahoma; brother and sister-in-law Ross and Teresa Nelsen of Malmo; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Bonnie C Nelsen please visit our Sympathy Store.
