Bonnie Ellen Birchell, age 70, passed away on May 13, 2019 in Salt Lake City. She was born April 1, 1949, in Salt Lake City to Virginia Marie Wixom and Loyal E. Birchell. She was the third of six children.

She attended school in the Draper and Sandy areas. Bonnie graduated from Jordan High Scholl in 1967. She worked at various jobs in the Salt Lake City area.

Although Bonnie didn’t have children of her own she took great care of and was very fond of all her nieces and nephews and enjoyed spending time with them. She made great efforts to be with her family and friends. She loved gardening, animals, baking (especially bread), going to the lake, movies, walking, cooking, reading, knitting, church and history.

She had a beautiful smile and she loved to learn. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various positions. She was kind and friendly although a bit eccentric.

Her parents and two brothers Loyal Jay Birchell and Robert Birchell preceded her in death. She is survived by her brother Bruce (Melba) Birchell, sisters, Clara Call, Nancy Wood, and Evelyn (Paul) Abbey, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, May 21, 2019, viewing at 10 a.m. funeral at 11:00 a.m. At the Riverside 29 th Ward Chapel, 1144 West 500 North, Salt Lake City, UT 84116.

Burial will follow in the Salt Lake City Cemetery.
