A celebration of life for Bonnie Jean Jorgensen, 66, of Muscatine, will be held Friday, February 15, 2019, at 11:00 AM at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona with Pastor Ron Breese officiating. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM at the Rock Creek Cemetery in Garwin, Iowa. Visitation will be held Thursday, February 14, from 5 – 7 PM at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona.

A general memorial fund has been established. Bonnie Jorgensen died Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Premier Estates in Muscatine. Bonnie Jean Jorgensen was born December 18, 1952, in Marshalltown, Iowa, the daughter of Monroe Jack and Bernice Marie (Dudley) Boswell.

She graduated from BCLUW and Gerald’s School of Cosmetology. She worked as a hairdresser for several years and then was a stay at home mom, was a housekeeper at the Veteran’s Home in Marshalltown, worked at Reif’s department store in Kalona for five years and was a custodian at the University of Iowa. Bonnie was united in marriage to Clyde Allen Jorgensen on June 7, 1975 in Garwin.

She was a member of Full Gospel Church in Kalona. Bonnie enjoyed crafts, sewing, cooking, baking, gardening, driving, shopping, Princess Diana and 80’s culture. She was always proud to indroduce herself as a wife, mother and grandmother and loved those roles.

Bonnie had a deep faith in God that she shared with her husband Clyde. Survivors include her husband Clyde of Marshalltown, four children: Lisa Noelle Pfannebecker of Solon, Christian Allen (Dayna) Jorgensen of Ottumwa, Mindy Marie Jorgensen and special friend Antwon Davis of Tipton, Erik Steven Jorgensen of Solon, stepson Michael Wayne Oechsner of Eldridge, four grandchildren: Carly Lynn, Hannah May, and Alivia Marie Jorgensen and Oliver Orion Pfannebecker. Also surviving is her brother Steve Boswell of Whitten, and sister Peggy (Joseph) Kriegel of Des Moines.

Preceding Bonnie in death were her parents and three sisters: Mary Alice Glenney, Betty Lou Krier and Darlene Marie Edwards.
