Bonnie Lee Boren Obituary Photo

Bonnie Lee Boren returned home to her loving Heavenly Father on June 3, 2018. She was born to Hazel Ruby Keele and Harold William Whiteley on December 28, 1949 in Price, Utah. She was later adopted by her aunt and uncle Nina Mae Hansen and James Lynn Keele who raised her as their own daughter.

Bonnie lived in many places throughout the country while growing up before marrying Donald Ralph Boren in Los Angeles, CA on October 10, 1969 in the Los Angeles Temple (later divorced). They raised 6 children in Sandy, Utah. Bonnie is survived by daughters JaNelle Fogg (John), Mysti Hood, Tani Rose (Dustin), and son Chaz Boren (Jett) and 13 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents and sons Bren Boren and Shyler Boren. Bonnie truly knew her Savior and had a very close relationship with him. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Bonnie was a valiant force in family history work and was responsible for helping thousands of ancestors get their temple work done. Bonnie was a selfless, loving, caring, kind, individual who never complained and was always thinking of others. She would always put the needs of someone else before her own and was known to give away her own possessions to help those she felt needed them more than she did.

Bonnie loved to cook and always volunteered to bring food to ward and family functions, though everyone who had the opportunity to try her cooking wished she hadn’t! Despite her lack of culinary skills, she was extremely talented artistically and loved to paint, draw, write poetry, and songs. Bonnie loved her family and cherished their visits to her home in Logandale, NV.

She always had activities for her grandchildren, whether it was feeding chickens, playing in the mud, painting, cooking, or starting fires in the kitchen, they always had a great time!
